I’m a big fan of our slogan, “ReUse! Because You Can’t Recycle The Planet.” I guess I should be, since I came up with it. For a while I’ve been selling T-Shirts with the huge font design on it, but I know not everyone wants such a huge print on their shirts. (My suit wearing brother actually helped me realize this. HAHA!) So, this is where you, the artist, comes in. - Alex
Send us your slogan themed design and the winning entry will be selected by our online community through voting. There will be a first and second prize, both including cash and his or her design featured on varied amounts of STAY VOCAL apparel.
GUIDELINES:
The design must include our slogan, “ReUse! Because You Can’t Recycle The Planet” and should visually represent the concept of reusing.
The STAY VOCAL 4-circled arrows logo (either exact or your rendition of it) must be incorporated into the design. It doesn’t have to be big; it just has to be there. Here is the logo as a .jpg and .psd file.
The art must be 1 color only.
If you have a signature or initial for your artwork, we encourage you to put that in the design.
The file should be as big as possible, and we will accept any of the following formats: .psd, .eps, .jpg, .pdf. (Our prefered file type is a 300 dpi resolution .eps file in layers).
If you would like to show how your design would look like on a T-Shirt, you can download our White T-Shirt and /or Black T-Shirt Template.
Multiple submissions are welcome AND encouraged.
(If you aren’t familiar with sending large files, please use www.yousendit.com to submit your design.)
SUGGESTIONS:
If a design concept isn’t immediately coming to mind, here are some ideas that would make for great visuals to go along with our slogan:
reusable shopping bags
reusable coffee mugs
composting
glass jars to hold things
reuse clothing
pac-man-like person, with little lightning bolts coming from his mouth to show he’s talking, or “staying vocal” (My friend Nick, really wants this to happen, so I had to suggest it.)
VOTING:
From October 23 to October 30, all qualified design entries will be available online for the STAY VOCAL community to vote on. And of course, your friends, family, and fans will be able to vote too. The design with the most total votes will be named the winner.

The “Water Saver” design is based on the fact that it takes 400 gallons of water to grow enough cotton for just one new t-shirt. By purchasing one of our ReUse shirts instead of a new one, you are helping save that 400 gallons of water for other more important uses (drinking, food crops, etc). UPDATE! We've reached our original goal to help save 36,500 gallons of water with the Water Saver Series of ReUse shirts! This is the amount of water that 200 people should drink in a year! Order one of the Water Saver shirts here.
