Alex Eaves (EK)
Growing up in the small town of Norwell, MA, Alex was a bit sheltered in more ways than one, but in 1989 when he bought his first skateboard (a Chris Miller Schmitt Stix), everything changed.
For the next 18 years skateboarding would become his positive mental outlet and a way for him to escape negative surroundings. His skating style is all about going big, especially when it comes to gaps, drops offs, stairs, and ollies. Just throw some large obstacle in his path, and he will be more than happy to try it.
While in college he took his passion further and thanks to companies like United Skateboards (RIP) and Hardcorps Skate Shop (RIP), he became a sponsored skater.
After college, Alex continued to skate while touring all around the world doing merch for various bands and for non-profit organizations such as The Museum of Tolerance, 311 and Anti-Flag. Working towards positive change in the music scene made him realize that there was nothing like that in the skating scene, and being a compassionate and vocal person, Alex decided to change that by bringing some activism into the skateboarding community. The result was STAY VOCAL, the company that helps provide people with a means to make
themselves heard.
